The only thing I can say about this place is that it is WHITEWASHED THAI FOOD. I'm sure it's popular for business lunches and it's a really nice atmosphere but the food is just.. Meh. Kind of tasteless. I also asked for max level spiciness and my pad thai was basically not spicy at all. I had to use half of the entire container of chili on my meal just to give it some flavor. I mean, I might eat here again considering that it's very near my office and it's a nice place to sit down and talk. But the food isn't very authentic or tasty.

When staying at the Crown Plaza in Newton, I find I really don't want to drive once parked. Traffic and more important insane drivers are well worth avoiding. I could go on a rant about this topic but no need. Amarin is really awesome. I've eaten here 4-5 times now. Coconut soup is sweet and salty and sometimes I add a bit of heat. The Papaya salad with shrimp (extra spice requested) is one of my favorite dishes. I'm sure it isn't too healthy but I always pretend and eat the entire order which I'm sure is for 2-3 people. The curries are not too runny and also not too thick...just like a children's book - "Just Right". The staff are always polite and friendly, at least based on my visits. Rice does not come with dishes but can be ordered. They have white and brown rice. I hit this place at least once during my work week visits to the Boston (Newton) area.

This restaurant has been around the Boston area longer than I have. Although I have gone there many times over many years, today I was positively surprised again. It truly looks like an American Thai restaurant and may be it is to some extend, but it is noteworthy: 1. The fisherman noodles are authentic albeit slightly moderated in spiciness, but still pleasantly spiced 2. I had NO POST MSG thirst, which means that they the cooking is so good, they don't need to cheat 3. Every ingredient was fresh and tasty Sounds generic? It shouldn't be. The food is just of very high quality and close enough to authentic for me (considering that in my college days I lived a while in Thailand).

I ate at Amarin last night with my wife and a friend. We considered all of the dishes we ordered excellent. Service was quite good and the restaurant was quiet and not busy. I have eaten here a number of times before and always enjoyed it. One note for vegetarians like myself: Although the menu doesn't contain many vegetarian entrées, I have found that many of the meat dishes can be made with tofu instead. You just need to ask your server to substitute tofu for the meat that's listed. They also have brown rice available. The vegetarian Liang soup was very good. It is not quite as tasty as Tom Yum Goong, but it is in the same category and contained lots of interesting fresh vegetables, straw mushrooms, baby corn and basil. I ordered the "Beef/chicken basil" with fried tofu instead of meat. It was excellent. The flavors were rich and complex and the tofu was well integrated into the rest of the dish. I had this with their brown rice, which was very dark and flavorful. My wife ordered the Tofu Spinach Noodles and these were also excellent. Thick spinach fetuccini and vegetables in an intense Thai sauce. We also had the Fresh Shrimp Rolls as a appetizer even though they were not vegetarian because the server told us that the filling was made in advance. I usually like fresh roles better than fried and the ones we had we quite good and were served with two different sweet dipping sauces. They're made with fresh rice flour pancakes filled with lettuce, vermicelli, basil and mint as well as shrimp. The shrimp flavor was not too strong but it would be nice if they offered a version made with tofu instead of shrimp. My friend ordered duck, which I did not try, but he was satisfied with it. The decor is pleasant and "traditional" Thai, with Thai woodwork, fabrics and sculpture. The beer and wine list is appropriate and reasonably priced. Overall, I recommend this restaurant as a reliable place for high quality Thai food.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. We particularly like the Chicken Massaman Curry. It is also a convenient lunch spot to meet when a group includes people coming from downtown as well as Route 128, as it is right off Exit 17 from the Pike, and has a parking garage and there is a metered lot. Restaurant doesn't feel "huge" but I haven't had an issue getting in.

I always order the Pad-See-Ew noodles for take-out. Don't be fooled just because it says "Ew" in the dish's name because it is the complete opposite of "Ew." It is one of my favorite Thai dishes and they make it taste so delicious. It's a little sweet, savory, and spicy. The portion is pretty big but I think the prices went up recently. The employees are also super nice.

Not really authentic Thai food. Does not have enough spices for the true full flavor for the curry- slightly watery, but good Thai food considering the location and price. The Beef Panang was solid, but I wish there were more vegetables/sides to go with it. It was just meat. And they charge separately for rice, which is annoying. It is a huge restaurant, so there's always space.

3.5 Stars. My boyfriend and I LOVE Thai food--it's our go-to meal when we decide to go out to eat. We spent a weekend in Boston, and since this was the closest Thai restaurant to our hotel, we decided to try it out. First off, I dig the decor. There's a raised section in the middle of the restaurant where you (and a group of people, I'm assuming) can sit barefoot and eat in the "traditional" Eastern way. We didn't get to sit there, but I wish we could've! The dinner traffic was beginning to pick up so our service was a little slow, but we didn't mind it. I ordered the tofu triangles and the Tom Klong soup. The tofu triangles weren't spectacular, but they were good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, yummy sauce. A-OK. But the soup? I loved it! It was a little sour (in a good way!) and had just the right amount of spiciness. It kind of looks like a cream of vegetable soup (which I hate) but it's just the coconut milk. It's only a little creamy. But it really hit the spot and I'd probably order it again. My boyfriend got the chicken Pad See-Ew. Again, nothing too different from what we've had before, but it was good. Overall, our meal was good. Nothing life-changing, but we were pleased.

So far so good. The waiter is very nice, so is the bus boy. Happy buzz among the staff. Very helpful with order and super friendly. I was so grateful to have such a friendly and attentive wait staff and generally good food that I rated 5 stars. You can always find areas for improvement, of course, for example the rug needed vacuuming, there was debris strewn about. Actually, it probably needed replacement. The fish and tofu was fried too long making it a bit dry. The sticky rice was fun, though I wish it was not served wrapped tightly inside of plastic wrap. The soup had the correct taste - not too sweet. That was a pleasant surprise! Most Thai restaurants really over sweeten there soups. The rest of the food was around 4 stars, the curry, Seaman's platter. The pad Thai was really very good - 4+. All in all I was made to feel so grateful and satisfied im giving them 5 stars and will come back again.

We hosted an dinner party here for my daughter's graduation. The owner/manager took special care with the menu for us and everything was perfect! Both the service and the food were excellent and they even surprised us with a cake! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and would not hesitate to book another party or just go for a wonderful meal. Thanks to Amarin for making our event special!!!

I'm so surprised that this place has such good reviews! I was physically sick from their "sweet and sour chicken" which was 13 dollars for frozen veggies, questionable looking chicken, and canned pineapple that tasted sour- no pun intended. Service was horrendous, prices were extremely high for the low quality, and the food itself would have been better from a middle school cafeteria. We received the $ back for the meal that make me sick, but we should have been comped for the whole dreaded experience- we'll definitely never be back here!

  • Chris B.

The good news is that some of their dishes meet the standard of Thai spicy - Wild Boar with basil in particular. But it is vastly overpriced for the quantity of meat you get. I'm a light eater and I can still finish it all in one sitting; with most places that have entrees at this price, I almost always have leftovers. Perhaps you're paying for the decor or the location. Parking is tricky; if you're heading south down Galen you'll need to curve onto Washington St and go into the garage. Don't park at Bertucci's.

  • Win H.

Promising appetisers, good service. Main course? (1) vegetarian focus? If so this is good tasty food even if the veg may have a mix of frozen and fresh. 2) chicken dish Ga-Prow - frozen crumbled chicken tastes stale no matter how well you douse it with fish sauce. Sorry but this is not a thing that a Thai would accept. Chikcn satay may have had fresh chicken but was dry and mild Overall - stick to the appetizers and veg dishes for a light and delightful dinnner. Avoid anything that needs meat. Appetisers were just fine very fresh, good and prompt. its not a train smash. Just don;t go for the made in america flavours.

This place is no good. Went here for dinner and they charge $12.50 for an entree but it doesn't include rice. Little Thai Cafe and OSHA, both include rice with their meals and charge less. The food is not flavorful at all and my chicken cashew plate tasted like Fish. Very dangerous thing for a restaurant to do, considering how people can be allergic to fish. Very dissapointed and will certainly NEVER go back. Total waste of money. By the way, OSHA reigns Supreme in the Thai Food world. Just so you know. And there you have it folks.....Another real review from yours truly

It's okay. The Pad Se Ew is good--much better than the Pad Thai. Pad Thai was not good--just bland. The Pad See Ew has a much better flavor. The som tom was good--a little too liquidy. I wouldn't come back except that is good for groups since it is large.

Not only is this the best Thai restaurant I have ever tried, but it is probably the highest quality food I have eaten in the greater Boston area. Me and my girlfriend go at least once a week. Everything is simply perfect...

I work in Newton Corner, and often come here for lunch with a co-worker or take-out. I have had Thai food at many locations, and this one is ok. I feel that their appetizers, fried rice, and pad thai are very tasty, but their "on-the-rice" dishes are either a bit bland or too spicy. I always add more peppers and hot chili to make it work for me. I often think that the waiters/waitresses know that I always like to request their hot sauce selection when I dine in. Their chicken salad is also tasty, but doesn't have enough salad components for the price. I think they should at least add more vegetables and bigger slices of chicken to make the salad worthwhile. There's my honest opinion, Yelpers...

Amarin is really consistent: good food, lots of seating, friendly service. I particularly like the masaman curry with beef, the beef satay, of course the pad thai. I've rarely had a bad dish. The above is for eating in the restaurant itself. For takeout, I've had mixed results. Maybe the food just doesn't travel well.

Ate here a few nights ago. The atmosphere doesn't feel authentic and the food says the same. Much larger than most Thai restaurants I've been to. Overall the food wasn't bad though. Had the Tofu Spinach Noodles - tofu deep fried to close-to-perfection, with bright green spinach noodles and a few more veggies. My fiancé's meal had pieces of Thai eggplant, which I really enjoyed. Afterwards we headed across the street to Hopsters for some beers.

Love Amarin - consistently delicious. I grew up on the spring rolls, chicken satay, and coconut soup from Amarin in Wellesley, and we just tried the Newton location for the first time last weekend. I had the Salmon Choo Chee on a whim (I usually stick with poultry), and it was delicious. The salmon was ever so slightly dry, but it was still good enough that I've just managed to convinced my boyfriend to take me again tonight. Also, the satay were a bit more oily than I'd like, but the curry sauce on the Salmon Choo Chee was really light, so I'd have no problem eating it often. The service was very attentive! At first they seated us in the sunken tables, but my mother was too short for the table height, and they promptly moved us. There were a few empty tables, which was a pleasant surprise for a Saturday night.

Used to be my go-to restaurant. Disappointed last visit. Portion size reduced, not much "stuff" in each dish, greasy and a ton of gristle in the chicken dishes. In fact, the steamed dumplings had a 1/2 inch piece of gristle in one of them. Not cheap either. $50 bill for entrée, one beer, noodle dish and 1 appetizer. Quality has slipped alot.

The pad thai here isn't like the pad thai in other places and I am not just saying that because it was the first place I tried thai food more than 10 years ago but because I am now an avid eater in a city where thai town is notorious for amazing thai food and the pad thai here is special. Different recipe so it isn't red, overly sweet, and running with juice. Instead it is white, the diced peanuts are expertly mixed in with green onions and it is perfectly wet without it being too juicy.

Great prices, great and varied flavors, excellent and considerate service. On our way to Albany from the airport, got off next to the marriott for the Unos only to find out that it was closed, and decided to hop in the next closest random restaurant in the rain. We did not expect the food to be so so so good, especially at $10 /entree prices. Great interior design and incredibly fast service (although business was very light). Food presentation was great and was done family style, which we hadnt planned, but it worked out really well because we all indulged in each other's dishes: Appetizer of fresh shrimp roll (great sauces but slightly unbalanced with too much veggie/mint to shrimp taste) Pad thai was the best noodles ive had in recent memory. It was so good. Pineapple fried rice was great, with lots of seafood pieces to share. Our third dish was (i think) the mango and black pepper curry-- it was marked at 3* but was only a little bit spicy (and completely delicious) If youre a fan of very spicy food though, i would mention it to your server beforehand. Jasmine tea was also spot on! Did i mention how perfect the service was? Food came out maybe 5 minutes after we ordered, and our teas were kept filled. Friendly and unassuming waitress. I usually tip 20% unless the service was really bad- but today i had to tip 30%. Why was there no business for this fantastic place??

The staff are the friendliest and most courteous I've ever met. plus the food is fantastic! I love their pad Thai. Menu is traditionally very large and I have yet to try everything , but what I have had is always great

Rude service. Totally, go here if you totally don't care about service and mediocre food taste. Here is how our first experience went ... (1) waiter asked us to take a seat and when asked for alternate seat, rudely replied, need 4 people, understood but the restaurant was lightly occupied and the follow up comment by the waiter "maybe next time" (2) While taking order as well as serving water, the attitude seems to be like he is doing us a favor by serving us. (3) he served water and did not pay much attention as I was into a conversation with my wife, I got a sarcastic "you are welcome" comment. (4) we waited for the waiter but did not show up for a while. So I walked to him and asked " can we have the check please?" And he did t even look at me and nodded yes. (5) after this experience, I wanted to make this point and did not tip him. Walked out of restaurant and after few seconds heard someone running towards us from the back and here was the rude waiter and asked me why there is no tip. Answer was obviously we did not like your service at all... And I was interrupted and was told that "you may never enter the restaurant "... Had to be rude and replied, you really thought I would want to even if u pay me to do so? And imagine a waiter telling you all this and not a manager! Unfortunately, the was an unpleasant experience. We are restaurant buffs and we like to tip rightly (~15 to 20%), but this was .... Bad choice going there rather than going to the Thai place couple of miles away in Waltham moody street, where the food quality is great and service is fine! Gave 1 star as did not have an option of giving 0 stars.

The first time I was here I ordered green curry for lunch, and it was amazing. However, I went back again the second time and ordered the pad thai with shrimp egg roll, the food was more than disappointing. It was oily, and I threw everything away. I would only come back for lunch and get the green curry.

    (3)

Not sure why people like this place. Rubbery chicken and tofu that doesn't hold the sauce. Oily curry and not creamy. Too bad.

This is one of our favorite places to get lunch over weekends or in general when we feel like thai. We moved to Boston area in May 08 and this was our first restaurant after we landed and we have been frequent visitors even since. I like their Tom Yum soup, rightly spiced, hot and hint of sweetness - exactly how I like it. It has shrimp which I am ok with. --- the most recent meal, lunch here --- My wife is a vegetarian so we ordered vegetarian spring rolls (fried, 6 pieces) , the waiter was nice enough to offer vegetarian spring rolls ( apparently for lunch they only have the chicken stuffed fried spring rolls). I ordered the pepper chicken with mango, it is a bit on the sweeter side which I expected since it had mango. I have tired their green and red curry chicken, both are good but I prefer their green curry. My wife always orders their Crazy noodles and she almost never regrets it ( I always steal the last few bits left in her plate and always wish I ordered that w chicken). Overall I would rate it 4/5. The only think we donot like is one of the waiters is not 'polite' enough and is just under 'rude'. If only they improved they made the service feel more 'inviting' they could attract more visitors and probably steal customers from the Bertucci's right next to them.

We go here once very two months or so and each time we're done eating we always say how good it is and how we should come here more often. The place is never crowded so even on a Saturday night you don't need to make reservations or worry about waiting for a table. Also they are very knowledgeable and accommodating of gluten free diets even though they don't have a specific GF menu. Ever since we started going there my wife orders the same exact thing - Shrimp Himaparn (GF). I used to get this as well because the honey garlic sauce is so good. I've since moved on to the Pacific Chicken which is my new favorite with pine nuts, cranberries, spinach, and a delicious broth. The service is good with people always running around trying to fill up your water glass. Our waitress this evening was surprisingly inattentive, but the food comes out so quick you don't even really notice.

  • Kara Z.

I always liked this place but then last year I accidentally ordered the ***black pepper chicken curry. Um wow. My mouth was on fire, but it was so good! I do not eat spicy food. But I order this and nothing else except the spring rolls, from here whenever I go. Two notes: I have been to the one in Wellesley and had a less than satisfactory experience, the food did not even taste the same. Also, if you drive make sure you park in the garage or in the meter lot behind the restaurant not in the private lot behind Bertucci's. The tow company has creeps waiting for you to walk off the lot to take your car.

To be fair - I really want to give this restaurant 3.5 stars but it's not an option... I live nearby and have driven past this restaurant many times in the last couple of years. I was SO pleasantly surprised with the cute and welcoming interior as soon as I stepped inside. There are tables in cozy nooks and there are some sunken tables in the middle of the room with pillowy seating. Candles and draping set the mood... adorable! The menu is extensive and it seems there's something for everyone. Most dishes are customizable (spiciness, choice of protein, brown or white rice, type of noodle, etc). Everything we had was good - no complaints. Some highlights: dipping sauce on the steamed dumplings was delightful, coconut (tom something) soup was a little thinner than I would have guessed, hot and sour soup was the perfect level of spiciness with a delicious flavor and very thin broth, pad thai was yummy but could have been a bit spicier. I wish you could order it with chicken and shrimp (well, you can but it costs about $2.50 more which doesn't seem right). The shrimp they use are all big and juicy, no tiny shrimp which means less shrimp (in number) but higher quality. Brown rice was a bit dry. Service was professional, but a bit slow. On this particular night we didn't mind because we were there to chat/catch-up, but on any other night I think spending 2-2.5hrs at dinner would be a little much. Will definitely go back - looking forward to trying crazy noodles and the spinach noodle/tofu dish. :)

We had vegetarian spring rolls and tofu triangles as appetizers. Both were edible, but no more unique than any other Thai place. My wife's glass noodle soup had a hair in it and she asked the server to replace it. Our entrees - tamarind tofu and tofu noodles - were borderline awful. The tamarind tofu was practically indelible and had a very strange aroma and taste. In fairness, we forgot to tell our server to pan-fry the tofu (it's beyond me why this isn't standard cooking procedure, as soft tofu is gross, especially in a mystery sauce - crisp it up for crying out loud!). The rice noodles in our other entree were wide and slimy; thank goodness the tofu was crispy, or else we would have been 0-for-2. Service was pretty good. The servers diligently made the rounds to fill water glasses and were very friendly. Our server forgot to deliver the diet soda my wife ordered (we never said anything and just drank water). Atmosphere is also nice. The restaurant even has traditional seating in the center where diners sit on cushions - a cool touch. Parking is ample in this otherwise congested area of Newton. I had high hopes for Amarin. We will be hard pressed to return. Sadly, we've had bad luck with Thai in metro Boston. Cambridge's Similans and Tree Top Thai in Waltham are by far our favorites. The others fall way short, at least when it comes to vegetarian offerings.

  • Chas K.

The rice noodles in my Pad Thai were clumpy, starchy and dry. The shrimp were seriously overcooked. There was way too much garlic in the dish, unless the cook was intentionally going for an Asian version of aglio olio. They've been around forever and maybe just had a bad day. I have a new client in Newton Corner, so maybe I'll give them another shot.

Awesome everything - provided you are one that is genetically predisposed to liking cilantro vs. soap flavor. Hot in Sour soup with shrimp THAT actually had the TAILS CUT OFF finally! w/cilantro Seamed chicken dumplings with thick spicy sauce and crunchy peanut topping w/cilantro seemed healthy and was multi-texturally delicious Wild Boar Spicy Basil w/cilantro - super spicy but amazing flavor that as my sister said "keeps you coming back for more" even after you are full. Finally - the Pad Thai with shrimp, chunchies, ....oh and cilantro. The staple of a good Thai restaurant is its namesake dish and here they do not disappoint. Nice and rich good texture and fresh shrimp Everything was so good I mixed the few leftovers we had together and ate them for dinner and breakfast the following day - and it was still amazing! I will be back next time I'm around

I could live off of Amarin of Thailand. The food is great and I love the pad thai there. It is definitely worth dining in. There's parking just around the corner and the restaurant is a nice little place to share a meal.

best thai food in the boston area. my favorites are pad thai, chicken cashew, and the seafood madness if you like something spicy.

  • Marina K.

My family always ends up here. Like other reviewers have mentioned, their pad thai is literally the best I have ever had. Perfectly light and fluffy, just sticky enough with plenty of shrimp, chicken and tofu. I don't live in Boston anymore, but every time I return, I make it a point to come to this place. The service is always polite and fast, and I've never tried a dish I didn't like. The Black Pepper Chicken Curry is top-notch as well - amazingly spicy-sweet with tender chicken and lots of sauce. I love the traditional raised tables in the center of the restaurant, though I wouldn't sit there with older people, since you sit on pillows with no back support (this issue has actually come up, when my grandparents visit. This is how often we go there). FYI, the general atmosphere is pretty mellow - not a place for the Thai equivalent of sake-bombing.

  • Sishab S.

Food was average and certainly not real Thai! Service was good so was the atmosphere. I would give 4 stars to the service and 3 to the restaurant's atmosphere but 1 star to the food! Adding some coconut milk and peanut sauce to saute vegetable and meat does not make Thai food. There is so much more to it that was missed here. I went to this place based on so many positive reviews! Has anybody have ever had real Thai food ever? It's far, but if you are craving authentic and tasty Thai food, it might worth it for you to drive 9 hours to Toronto. There are tens of excellent Thai restaurants up there, Spring Rolls, Salad King and Bangkok Garden are to name a few!

Delicious. The thai iced tea is awesome. So is the pepper chicken. This place is consistent too. I work near by and get takeout for lunch often. Even the salads are good!

My stars haven't changed. I still love this place - but the people are different (which makes me so sad) and what I ordered as my main dish was quite disappointing. - Seaman' Plater (supposed to be 3 hot chili peppers) was not hot at all - sooo sad! the fish was overpowered with some kinda sweet sauce similar to hot and sour sauce. NOT GOOD - just skip this dish all together Emily's Choice: Kaeng Koong (Sauteed shrimps with coconut curry, butternut squash, asparagus, baby corns, bamboo shoots, hot pepper and basil leaves) was amazing. So I take back the fact that I don't love coconut in food - this was surprisingly awesome. It must be the coconut and peppers that did me in. OH SO GOOD. ORDER this - don't mean to be pushy here - but seriously people, have I ever steered you wrong? - Crazy Noodles - you can not go wrong with this dish. The noodles are wonderful and I love noodles ...so there that's it. Happy Thai Eating!

We were really disappointed. We used to hold Amarin in high regard, the gold standard of Thai food in greater Boston. Sadly, the food quality has degraded over the years, and it's now not our "go-to" destination for Thai food anymore. It's Okay, just not great like it was. The night we visited, there might have been 10 people total in the restaurant. Compared to years ago, it would be full and we'd have to wait for a table. Not so any longer.

This place is just plain yummy, easy, and fun. Staff is nice and attentive. Have had lots of good meals, but their Pad Thai to me really sticks out. They're accomodating to meat-eaters, vegetarians and vegans, and toning down dishes to make it kid friendly too. Kids and I love the fried tofu and dipping sauce. One thing to note, check out the toilet paper dispenser in the handicap-accessible bathroom. It is pretty crude, totally not fitting the style of the restaurant, and an incredibly weird choice.

Been here two or three times. Wait times are typically long even after being seated. The Thai food is mostly authentic. The standards are done well here. Soups are hot and tasty. I have never been able to get in and out in under two hours. Even by myself. Not a place to blast out a quick business lunch.

Hidden Gem alert. I can't tell you how many times I've driven by Amarin of Thailand and never noticed it was there. This past Friday night, We had a special deal from gilt city where two people could have an 2 apps,2 entrées, and 2 desserts AND 2 Thai iced teas all for 35 bucks. I don't know about you, but it's really hard to find a sit down dinner for that price. Sure, I was a little hesitant, as most things in life that are too good to be true, usually are not. Let me tell you when we walked up and saw how packed this place was, I knew we were in for a fantastic meal. We stated off with an order of chicken satay and an order of the veggie spring rolls. The satay had 6 huge pieces of seasoned chicken on a stick with some tasty peanut sauce on the side. I was almost too ful from the satay to enjoy my beef Masaman curry. As soon as the curry and brown rice left the kitchen, the aromatic flavors started wafting towards me. With big chucks of sweet potato, carrot, onion and other veggies all coated with a beautiful curry sauce delivery a punch of flavor. The lady had the veggies spring rolls which seemed standard to every other pan Asian restaurant. But her tufu noodle dish packed some serious flavor. The tofu was seasoned well and the noodles were cooked perfectly. By the time the coconut ice cream and the mango sorbet made it to the table but of us were ready to throw in the towel. With a moderately priced menu and flavor packed thai food, I can surely see myself giving this place a lot of the business in the upcoming months.

This restaurant has great food as other yelpers have noted, good location, and the important part - validated parking. You need to go to the opposite side of the block to enter the garage on Bacon St. Traffic can be confusing and irritating, so take it slowly. If you are using a GPS navigation device then select your destination for Bacon St. Do not park in the Bertucci lot; the tow truck company sits there and wait to tow you for over $100. Back to the food. Be careful about ordering dishes that are too similar in ingredients otherwise your dinner may end up a bit boring. For a dinner party of 4, I would order three appetizers ( which have greater variety in preparation and taste), a pad thai and rice, a meat dish (I recommnend any of the ducks), and a seafood dish (go for the whole fish) to share family style. Service is ok - nothing to rave about. They are good about food allergies and tweaking dishes.

Great thai food. Some favorites are: green curry, pad thai, and pad see ew. The hot & sour shrimp soup is good too (pretty spicy). Friendly staff. We enjoy eating here and getting takeout regularly.

I love everything I've ever tried there. A little pricey, but definitely worth it. Beautiful decor, pleasant atmosphere, great service, amazing food. Love the pad thai and the shrimp salad.

Finally. Good Thai close to home. Since moving to the Belmont/Watertown area, I have been trying to find a good local Thai place. I've been to the usual suspects and was not impressed by either the food or the service. Last night I was having a small birthday celebration and after agonizing over what kind of food to get, and decided to give this place a go. That way, I could order a bunch of dishes, set them up as a buffet, and get to try them all. I was not disappointed in any of the items and I can't wait to have the little bit of leftovers for lunch today. We got: Pad Thai, Pacific Chicken, Beef Macadamia, Keong Koong, Veggie Currie, Black Pepper Chicken, and Hot Country Shrimp. This is definitely going to become one of my go-tos on my takeout circuit.

Went to Amarin on a Friday night. There are two free lots to park in around the corner. The place was about 1/2 full at about 730 pm which worried me a little. . . We were greeted and seated in a hospitable manner. The waiter took some time to come to our table but was friendly and pleasant when he got to us. We got a bottle of wine (bottles are from $25 to $75; pretty limited selection) and ordered our dinner right away. We got Ka Prow and a Cracked Pepper and Mango Chicken. Ka Prow is something my fellow diner has ordered many times at different Thai restaurants and he always enjoys it. . . The Ka Pro was labeled on the menu as spicy-- I enjoy spicy food, usually order "hot" when given the option. This was just right, could have been a little hotter and still good. The dish did taste slightly off to us-- a very gamey taste. . . We informed the waiter and he removed from the bill. He also told us the chef tasted it, and said it was fine. The other dish however, was FANTASTIC! They handled a potentially 1 star review so professionally that they got back up to a four star review. would be 5 if the Ka Prow was as good as the Mango & pepper dish. Thanks! Will be back.

Unfortunately, I don't have much to say as it is your average Thai restaurant. Everything that we had - Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles were good. The drunken noodles did have a kick to them so be forewarned.

We had a family celebration there recently. we were so impressed by the beauty of the place, the richness of the menu, the quality of the food and the service. We liked many items in the menu, and ordered more dishes than the table can hold. But in the end, we ate all of them because they were all so good. There are still many other dishes that we want to try. The is definitely one of the best Thai restaurnts in our experience. We'll go back there many more times in the future.

Pitiful Pad Thai. Got take out this evening. First time customer, so I always try the Pad Thai first. It isn't the absolute worst I've ever had, but pretty close. It is bland, bland, bland. The dish was mostly noodles, with 4 pieces of shrimp. No chicken or tofu. I had to add soy sauce to make it worth eating. Won't go back.

I went to try Amarin with my family. It was really enjoyable. I think what i liked most about the place was that it didn't have the typical fast-Thai food (not that I don't enjoy that....) that I am used to getting around BU. We tried grandma's shrimp, the crazy noodles, lemon scallops and some pork dish...I forget what its called. They give a ton of veggies with the dishes that you order, not so much of the protein that is in the name of the dish (ie - shrimp, scallops, etc.) but the food was good enough that I didn't care. My favorite was the lemon scallops, they were really flavorful and the lemon in the background of the light sauce went really well with the chunks of scallops. Yum! The other dishes were just okay. The crazy noodles were disappointing, and wasn't as spicy as I anticipated. But it wasn't bad. It became really busy a few minutes after my family and I sat down. I think that our waiter was new......he was really polite and nice but he was so slow. He was always around somewhere but we could never get hold of him to ask for more rice or refills our drinks. We ended up asking another waiter for these things. It also took our actual waiter about 15 min to return my mom's credit card so that she could sign. We enjoyed the food enough to go back. Hopefully service will be better next time.

This is a great Thai restaurant... one of the best around the Boston area. It's real food, not over greasy or oily and very well prepared. The service is impeccable and they even have authentic tables with traditional on your knees or cushion seating in the middle of their big room which is very nice for parties. The food itself is very tasty and the menu they offer is very well designed... The ingredients are very fresh and the portions are pretty big and very nicely plated. I've been there many times now and have always, always enjoyed my meals there! The only thing keeping me from a 5 star review is the prices that a tad higher than what you would want to ideally pay for Thai but then again it's in Newton... But yeah... I even drive from Cambridge to get some food there so it's definitely worth it!

We had take-out (they don't deliver :( ) I was very happy with my $11 Amarin Garden, which is steamed veggies, chicken (or pork) and peanut sauce. What is so lame is that they don't give you rice! We made our own. My roommie had Red Curry, which had "too many mushrooms", and the soup she got didn't impress her. I liked my meal fine. We didn't have anything worth raving or ranting about; seemed like an OK place. We also didnt eat in-house, which may have been different.

I went here this past Friday night and this place was AMAZING. I went with the Black Pepper Chicken Curry because of all of the great reviews and boy they weren't lying. It was So good... I am craving it daily now. Also Get the Beef Satay for an Appetizer with extra peanut sauce and you wont be disappointed! :)

Maybe I would give this place another star if my car hadn't been wrongly towed from the lot across the street during the 10 minutes in took for me to place & receive a take-out order. But, I don't think so. The food was decent but honestly, I thought the prices were a bit too high for basic Thai. And, someone else alluded to this in their review, but I agree - I don't think this place is really all that "Thai" anyway. Not that I mind that. I really don't care if something is "authentic" or not, as long as it's good. This is Boston, not Thailand, so I applaud the use of cranberries in my dish. Authentic or not. The brown rice was surprisingly delicious. It had a nutty, full flavor and I was glad I chose it over white rice. I thought the shrimp roll (I've seen these called many different things on many different menus) appetizer was a bit small and bland. The man liked his beef dish well enough but as I was pouring the leftover's into the dogs bowl I couldn't help but notice that the remaining sauce looked like an oil slick. I suppose if I had dined in here (the atmosphere is very nice) and eaten my meal hot (instead of lukewarm after dealing with the towing fiasco) I might have enjoyed it more. I'll give Amarin another chance if I can find a place to park next time.

I love Thai food, but just had Amarin for the first time last night. We got a huge mix of things, but the egg rolls, which for the record I don't even ever like or eat, were the yummiest part. The Pad Thai was also impressive! I liked everything we tried, and I would recommend the Pacific Chicken (with cranberries and spinach), for its amazing flavor. Will definitely be coming back!

I highly reccomend the beef pat-se-yew (spelling it wrong probably). To die for!!

Food was great! Definitely best Thai food I've had yet in this area. Only disappointment they didn't have my favorite dish, Rad Na. BUT, loved the Pad See Ew, and the Pine Nut Chx, and Cho Che Duck. Spring Rolls were great too. Would definitely recommend! A little pricier of a place, but not too bad at all.

It is safe to say that no other place serves-up the spinach tofu noodle dish like Amarin. This healthy dish is perfectly balanced with sweet and spicy flavorings. And their pad-thai? Please order this. The obnoxious smell of fish sauce is easy to ignore because it is contributing to the greatness of this meal... the synthesis of the sweet and sour flavorings coupled by the fluffy-gel-like texture make this dish both comforting and epic. The ambiance almost takes you out of your metro-west setting and temporarily places you in the tropics of Thailand, minus the hassle of a 24 hour plane ride. There is a massive and almost majestic table that sits near the entrance of the door, so intricately carved; a true depiction of oriental art. This place certainly introduces the thai-culture to its guests and also leaves them impressed with the service and decadent food. You'll always see the wait staff smiling here too...

I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it has always been consistent with decent food. But over the past 6 months both the quality of the food and the service has been degrading (new management or owner perhaps?). Finally tonight I cut the cord after having mediocre food and horrible service followed by an angry waiter asking for a minimum of 18% tip when I left them 15%. Perhaps this kind of extortion works in Bangkok. But not in Boston my friend!

You know, I really like this place. It's got some mixed reviews, but so far, in my two experiences here, it's involved some serious Thai food. The first we ordered take out for the office, and it balanced out to be the same (or a little less) than it would be to order pizza for lunch, which is very reasonable. A lunch entree is about $7, on average. I've sampled the pad thai, green curry, beef with broccoli, a vegetarian dish with tofu (can't remember the name) and a lemon grass chicken dish and all were tasty and our office was happy. The second time I dined in for lunch last week with my mom in law, and it was also good-we ordered a yellow chicken curry and an order of pad thai, and again, consistently tasty. All the food was flavorful, the pad thai was perfectly peanut-y, and the service was quick and efficient. And again, lunch for two people is around $14. The atmosphere is pretty standard, but they do have cute on the floor seating with cushions and low tables. I'll definitely be back again when I want some Thai take out, and I hear the soups are good from my co-workers.....mmmm, spicy soups!

I have been to Amarin of Thailand a number of times and it is a good place to get Thai food. I have not had better anywhere, but I have had worse. I really love the rice dishes and the Pad Thai. They can make anything spicy for you and the food is what you would expect - - good Thai. I got only one bad dish that was a thick soupy consistency, but that taught me not to order at random ever again. I would recommend this place 100%.

Always get the Pad Thai and it's the best I've had anywhere. Tastes very fresh.

The food is just decent, portions are small, a bit on the pricey side, I like the location. Other then the above a lot of people hype this place up to be better then what it is. Most of them probably have never had real Thai food before.

  • Unlike other ethnic cuisines that varies greatly where you are in the world.such as American not being able to do Curry, and England not being able to do Mexican, everyone seems to be able to do a good Thai. Amarin is our local one in Newton, and what make this place stand out is how the servers are actually ninjas! The place is so quiet, even though it right next to a major road, and if you were to blink your glass would maraculously be filled and you plates would be gone. i kid, their food is also great. i try and steer away from the tried and true that everyone does in Thai places. The duck curry is great, and the spicy coconut soup is steallar

Amarin in Newton Corner offers very consistent Thai cuisine. The food is good every time I have been there. The todman is thick and flavorful and does not have an aftertaste. The pacific chicken is a unique dish that features dried cranberries and pine nuts mixed with mushrooms and chicken that is exactly what the ingredients are. The food is honest to the customer and what you see on the menu is mostly what you get... except I wish the food was a little spicier. The pad thai is done particularly done well here, the noodles tossed enough to have a sear and still be moist and the fish sauce is not dominating the dish, but makes its presence. The meats on every dish I have had there are not ever overcooked. The portions are not large or small, but appropriately sized. The restaurant is clean and the service is consistent. Water glasses are filled only when needed instead of constant passes. The setting of the restaurant is good for either a small family gathering or a casual date. The pricing of the dishes is reasonable, ranging from about $10-$18 for dinner. It seems to offer more rice dishes than the Wellesley location and unlike the Wellesley location, doesn't offer noodle soups. However, overall, it is a nice, inviting restaurant for decompressing after a long day or to fulfill a craving for possibly the best pad thai in the Boston area. Dishes to try: Pacific Chicken, Pad Thai, Todman, Tom Yum Soup

First, I should say that I can be a fairly picky eater. That said, I have loved everything I've had at Amarin of Thailand. I'm also Kosher-ish, so I don't eat shellfish or pig-derived products. They always let me replace the items I don't eat with chicken, beef, or tofu. That's awesome because there are so many delicious dishes that I wouldn't have been able to eat if they weren't so accommodating. The waiters/waitresses are always polite and really fast. The food also comes out really quickly. The prices are very fair. If you're on a budget but still want to eat somewhere nice, this is a good place to do it. I LOVE the atmosphere. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the ambiance is really nice. It's quiet enough that you can always hear what others at your table are saying, but not so quiet that you feel uncomfortable having a conversation. As someone who is very difficult to please, I definitely recommend Amarin of Thailand.

I'm not a huge Thai fan but Amarin has multiple dishes that I enjoy. It is close to my house and the staff is really friendly. The prices and portion sizes are reasonable. I had the Saigon Beef Salad for lunch today and the beef marinade was excellent. Hit the spot. Like another Yelper said avoid parking in the Bertucci's lot, the fine is actually $170 and they pull cars out of their daily. It isn't worth the ristk.

Amarin is a very solid Thai restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and quiet and the service is good. Most importantly though, the food is great. The menu is large and every dish I have had at Amarin has been yummy. The only downer is that the windows look out to busy Newton Corner, which isn't very aesthetically pleasing.

The food as well as the service is exceptional. I dine in as well as take out on a regular basis and I always receive the highest level of service and quality food. I can't say enough about Amarin of Thailand. It's a great spot to meet up with a friend, client, or family.

finally getting around to reviewing this place. this is probably the best Thai I have ever had. Yes, I only went once and I only got 1 thing but that was over a month ago and I am still craving it. You must get the Noodles and Tender Beef (Soft rice noodles sauted with sliced beef sirloin, eggs, Soy sauce, bean sprouts and broccoli) - yes this sounds heavy but I damn near licked the whole plate, it was that good. I also got a side order of the cucumber salad which was nice and tart. mmmmm, takes me back to Bangkok. I def see why it's rated as the Best Thai in Boston. good looks on the hotel staff recommending it

This is one of my favorite thai restaurants, and that's saying a lot. The service here is impecable. The waiters are very attentive, and the kitchen is well-run. One of the waiters (he now runs the kitchen) even translated a long letter into Thai for me, and then did not accept any money for the work! They decor is nice, with a traditional floor seating area in the middle of the restaurant which needs to be reserved in advance. They have some gems in terms of decor, including some hand-carved tables. The food is delicious, always flavorful, always consistent, with the flavors of fresh, authentic ingredients showing through. Everything I've ever had there has been fresh and colorful. It can get a little crowded, but is nice on a weeknight.

My family and I have been going to the Amarin for over 15 years and I have to say the food can't get any better because it has always been that good. Sam and his staff welcome you to the restaurant as if you are guests in their home. The cuisine is exceptional with it's distinct flavors in every dish you order. All the appetizers, especially the Siam Rolls and the Satay, tantalize the palate leaving you wanting more. When dinner arrives, it is always a production. With every bite, you'll experience unique flavors that make these savory dishes rare indeed. The coconut ice-cream always cleanses the palate in the most amazing way. But you have to try the Thai iced tea...it makes the meals feel light even though they already are because they are sauteed. With the Amarin, it's almost like a love affair. You have to experience it to understand what i mean. Lastly, I've been to the kitchen a few times and I have to say it's immaculate. I'm a clean freak and I approve. Bon appetite!!!

When I was living in Newton Corner, everyone was always gushing about Amarin of Thailand. Naturally, I had to try it. Since I lived within walking distance I ordered takeout and thus can't say much about the service beyond the person working the takeout counter. It was fairly standard, polite but not very friendly. Whatever. The food was less than impressive. We ordered the chicken satay which was good; the fresh shrimp rolls which were displeasing and had way too much basil leaves which overpowered the taste of everything else; the beef and broccoli which was very unremarkable; and the pad thai which was not very tasty at all. We didn't even finish our meal, we were so disappointed in the food. And personally, I was a little disappointed that I wouldn't be joining the family of Amarin lovers and evangelists. I would check out other Thai restaurants before Amarin.

My bf and I love this place. We went on a few dates here when we first met. The food is great, the prices are fair. Overall I have been here about 10 times. The last time was a few weeks ago with friends. I noticed that the food quality is the same but the quality of the service has decreased. They seemed a little rude when my friend and I asked for veggies in the padthai. The prices also increased. I will still go here but only to meet friends since its right off the pike.

I've been here for lunch twice and wasn't super impressed during either visit. The first time I came here it was really crowded and I tried a spicy orange pork dish that was good, but they brought us the wrong appetizers (they ended up belonging to the folks next to us). My next venture was the Beef Erawan curry. Something seemed weird about the meat in this dish and my boyfriend was disappointed with his Fisherman's noodles which consisted of angel hair pasta. Seriously like the kind you get out of the Barilla box!!! Maybe they were going for a Thai/Italian fusion thing, who knows?!?! So much for Thai in my neighborhood. I did like their Thai iced tea and might give them another shot for a quick weekend lunch. I do have to give them points for having a cool seating area in the middle of the floor where you sit on pillows, but I have never seen anyone making use of it.

I was surprised to see that Amarin didn't have a solid average of a 4-star rating at least. I love the pad thai, chicken curry, chicken cashew nuts, and the satay. The restaurant itself is nice and usually the right balance of busy but not too busy to get a table. I definitely recommend Amarin!

I just friggin love this place. That's all I have to say. That and you must try the Tom Klong soup...and the chicken satay...and the pad thai! Best pad thai that I've ever had. Fo sho. It's even better if you eat it there because they bring out this little basket of condiment goodness (extra hot sauce, peanuts, etc).

It was here at Amarin that I was introduced to Thai food. That was a long time ago. I thought it was superb. All these new flavors and the aromas and the decor. It all seemed so much more authentic than the typical Chinese food that I was used to. For years it was my standard for judging other oriental places and specifically thai. I still like it today.

Decent food, reasonable prices and pretty good service. It's a great place to go with family or friends. The decor is very nice, with some great pieces straight from thailand (I think). I work near Amarin, so its always nice to come here when I'm craving Thai. The service is also pretty fast so that's always a plus when you have a limited lunch time. Amarin also does a lot of take out, so they have a pick up window dedicated to take out orders.

I had a great dinner at Amarin. We had the chicken salad with peanuts, coconut soup, the chicken fried rice special, and the spinach noodles with tofu. Everything was DELICIOUS. We had a very nice and friendly waiter. I will say the chicken friend rice was supposed to be the spiciest on the menu, and I was nervous it would be too, but it wasn't. It was perfect for me - so maybe too little spice for others? I will be back - yum!

Spicy/Sour soup was pretty good. They serve far east beers (asahi, etc...) which is good. The vegetable spring rolls were good too. I got the "Seafood Madness" which was rated 3 starts, the most spicy. I was a little disappointed. First of all it wasn't spicy. Second of all there was a strong reliance on mussels which is not my favorite. Other than that it was pretty good but could have used more scallops and fish, and less clams and mussels. Also tried some of my friend's red curry with chicken. It was fine too. more spicy at 2 stars than the seafood madness. Service was a little slow but fine otherwise. I like the design of the place and it would probably be pretty fun to get a center table - take off your shoes and sit down on those low tables.

Its cute, its close to my house and I really want to like it. But I don't. Everything has been sub par. Bland in my book. Much prefer the Coconut Cafe in Newton Center. Everything at the coconut cafe, pretty much, has been very tasty. C'mon Amarin. Spice it up.

We ordered takeout from Amarin, which was close by. The Pad Thai was very good - it wasn't oily and cooked just right to keep the shrimp and bean sprouts crisp. The Fresh Shrimp Rolls were nice and crunchy too. Will certainly order again from here and update the review as we try more dishes.

Amarin is a nice place with great ambience. They have the traditional Thai seating in the middle of the restaurant for a large group of people. It's very clean and large. The servers were great - they were prompt, polite and very accessible. Compared to other Thai places, the food was average. It was definitely more americanized thai as opposed to authentic. Having said that, their "Todman" (minced shrimp cakes) were very very good. We ordered the Todman, Fresh Shrimp rolls, Crazy Noodles (rice noodles with chicken and veggies) and Massaman Curry. The todman scored an "A", the Fresh Shrimp Rolls were a "B" (they were very loose and were falling apart), the Crazy Noodles were A- and the Massaman Curry was a "B-". The Massaman curry barely had any curry in it. We had to ask for extra curry on the side only to be told that that would be a separate order given that they had to stir fry it. After arguing with the servers, we finally manage to finagle a small bowl of the curry. I would recommend Amarin as a nice place if you have a large crowd of people. It's definitely family-style or at least, that would be the best way to eat there. The prices were decent for the portions.

I've ordered lunch take out at Amarin for myself and others that I work with MANYYY times. Their dishes are consistent and the service is really nice. They never have a problem when i make random dishes vegetarian and have never screwed up an order or forgotten a meal, which in my lunch time pick up experiences around the watertown/brighton/newton area is rare. I guess I should throw out one warning to potential patrons, their spicy ratings aren't very consitent. Some days their thai basil dishes will burn your face off and keep your sinuses clear for weeks and others you find a single pepper flake. Personally i'm a fan of the spice, and if you ask them to make it "no really, extra spicy" they'll make someting that will make you spontaneously combust in a tongue numbing spicy deliciousness. Overall, consistantly tasty dishes, great service and you can't beat an $8 lunch special that is the size of most dinners.

I am half Thai, I used to live in Thailand for four years, and my family owned a Thai restaurant. So I know from Thai food. I think that, considering the other dining options in Newton Corner, Amarin is your best bet, hands-down. It's certainly not the best Thai food I've had in the Boston area, but if you are limited to Newton Corner, the other options are pretty bleak. The prices are a bit high and it's generally pretty watered-down, blander versions of Thai food, but most everything I've ordered is perfectly acceptable. I've never had anything that I hated. I generally stick with the noodle dishes - the Spum Noodles (cannot figure out for the life of me what these names are supposed to be - they don't write the names in Thai or even in transliterated Thai) are quite tasty and come with nice, fresh Chinese broccoli. The satay, Pad Woon Sen, and Pad See Ew (I think they call this "noodles with tender beef" on their menu) are also all quite good. The only thing I've ordered that was a bit disappointing was the tofu triangles. Really good fried tofu is light and crisp on the outside and smooth and creamy on the inside - I've tried these twice here and both times they've been a bit rubbery. But other than that, no complaints. I haven't tried the curry or rice dishes so can't comment on those. The last dish I ordered there was the Thai Sidewalk Noodles - they were okay - way too bland to truly remind me of anything you might actually buy on the street in Thailand, but there was a generous amount of Chinese broccoli and chicken in there.

If you work at Newton Corner, there aren't that many lunch places that you can walk to. So I've taken out from Amarin several times. My favorites are Chon-buri squid, Erwan curry, and Black pepper chicken. The food is good. The people are also nice.

amarin is a staple thai joint for me in the boston burbs. everything is fresh and tasty. i love the basil stir fry dishes. the people are nice and take pride in their business. good for sit down or take out. keep up the good work, guys.

Definitely one of the better thai places in the Greater Boston Area. Great place for a date; parking is easy, atmosphere is quiet and upscale (great for conversation), and the place is very affordable too. I would definitely recommend the mango chicken, the chicken satay and the pad thai. Leave room for the coconut ice cream :)

I was taken here one evening for a "romantic dinner". Ummm not even close. Looks like every other generic asia restaurant. We got the mussel appetizer which was really good. We got a duck dish which didn't impress me at all and I was sad since duck is like my fav food ever. We also got this rice that had pineapples in it. My date swore it was good and I did my best to choke that nastiness down since I didn't want to offend him. Combine that with an incredibly awkward date and the families with kids running all over. I am all set. It has a fusion feel even though it isn't trying to be. Yuck Yuck Yuck.

Not real Thai food. You'll find mostly generic stir-fries that don't even come close to being Thai. Go to Lemon or Coconut Thai instead (if you're going to go to the Wellesley one).

Since I live right around the corner I had to check this place out. For a neighborhood Thai place it fit the bill, decent food and ambiance (cool center seating for groups of four). But the menu was limited, no funky mango/pineapple/coconut curry, few interesting appetizer options, next to nothing on the desert menu (I'm a desert kind of gal), and I'm a little confused as to why "pad thai" was listed under "lighter options." The chicken and pork were a little processed in appearance and flavor but the spices and good vegies compensated a little. If you're already in Newton Corner it's a good alternative to Unos and Bertuccis but I wouldn't make a trip out here to go there.

This place is just great. The food and service are great and they will customize any dish any way you want. This is very helpful for me, I like stuff like the Pineapple fried rice without chicken or shrimp. They'll make me any dish with tofu and are really quick with takeout orders.

This place has the best pad thai on the planet, hands down. I don't know if it's the way the peanuts are perfectly toasted, or everything perfectly cooked, but if you like pad thai, this place is worth a substantial drive. Even though I live in Somerville now, I still get takeout pad thai from Amarin at least once a month. It's the only thing I've ever had there, and I've probably had it 100 times. Unbelievably tasty. I can't possibly recommend it high enough.

I've only eaten in here once; this is mainly a take-away destination for my lunch hours at work. This Thai food will neither knock your socks off, nor disappoint you. They do noodles really well (although the classic, Pad Thai, is not my favorite here). Curries are also good but could sometimes use more vegetables. Turn-around time for take-away is fast, and the price is about right.

If you go to any university near Newton you have to go here. It is the best Thai restaurant in the greater Boston area. The place its very nice and I love the middle tables were you have to take your shoes off and seat in the floor. The Chicken Pad Thai is the best and I really recommend the Beef Macademia( if you don't like spicy don't order it). The parking is easy, the place is cozy, its affordable and the food is great!! You have to go!!

After leaving Wellesley, this is the place I crave the most, as Amarin first introduced me to my love for Thai food. Their Pad-Thai, Pad-See-Ew, and Crispy Spring Rolls are some of my favorite dishes. The restaurant is extremely clean and quiet, unlike many Thai places I have frequented in the Boston area. Take out and catering options are convenient. All in all, two thumbs up!

Good atmosphere, decent food but poor service. Once we were able to order, the food came out at a reasonable time. The spring rolls were very good, the chicken breasts they use for some of their dishes tasted very processed and rubbery. The beef and pork they used was of good quality. The Beef Dynasty and Pork Ginger were great, though not as spicy as I would have liked (actually, it was not spicy at all). Overall, the food is worth going back for, but with the lack of good service, I would probably choose another place.
